What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis has been around for a long time in many different forms. It has been used by shamans and physicians over hundreds, if not thousands of years. Human beings often enter Hypnotic trance states many times in a day without realising. We all have moments of being so engrossed in a task that we forget what we're doing. It is a very natural state for us to be in. This state of mind is when our conscious mind takes a step back for a while. It feels very pleasant and very relaxing. It can also be incredibly useful. Because as our conscious mind takes a step back, our subconscious mind takes a step forward. And our subconscious mind is the dwelling place of ALL our habits and learned behaviours. So by working with a Therapist, we can enter this state and change outdated thought patterns, habits, and learned behaviours that are no longer serving us.

What happens in a Hypnosis Session?

We'll begin by discussing your aims and goals in a free consultation held over Skype. Once we've established these, I will tailor a script to suit your individual needs. It will include unique, positive affirmations customized, specifically for you. During Hypnosis, you will feel deeply relaxed and calm. You will still be aware of things going on around and you can leave the trance state whenever you like.  Your mind will not accept any suggestions against it's will. So you cannot be programmed or manipulated in any way. I work with the power of positive suggestions only.  You will awaken from the Hypnotic trance state feeling deeply refreshed, calm and happy. Ready to continue your day.
